Getting back into soccer mode....?
I am a senior going on my third year varsity playing soccer at my high school. Last year i was a starting defender. We have fitness testing and scrimmages in a few days but the only problem is that other than in gym class i haven't played since november. I am in great physical shape from track, but I am just afraid that when it comes time to scrimmage i am going to go out there and not have a my touch back and make a fool out of myself, as most of my teammates played during the spring. if anyone has any advice how i can get my skills back in a few days it would be appreciated. also, do you think i even need to worry about losing my touch on the ball, or will it come back pretty quickly. i have been playing traveling soccer since i was 5 so i am pretty comfortable with the ball, i have just never really taken this much time off from soccer before, but due to more competitive track this year i had to.
